Finished the Fight

On Monday night, 11:30 pm, Luke and I reached the local Gamestop. The line for Halo 3 was probably about 300 to 400 people deep and stretched around the side of the plaza then turned and went down the back alley. That was were Luke and I stood, in eager anticipation of the uber pwnage we were about to inflict upon some n00bs on Xbox Live. And of course, we wanted to Finish the Fight against the Covenant, hopefully with some friends in 4 player co-op.

At 12:30, I emerged victorious from the confines of the Gamestop building. We drove back to the dorm and promptly played for two or three hours. We mostly played the campaign but I played some multiplayer online for a bit (Just to let everyone know, I won my first ever Halo 3 match! w00t!)

The game is simply incredible. Tuesday night I finished the campaign, and I love it so much more than Halo 2′s campaign. The levels are better. The story is better. And the weapons are better. The multiplayer? Awesome! I love the new ranking system of military ranks (right now I’m a sergeant) which goes along with the level rank system, still in place from Halo 2. There’s also a theater feature which allows you to watch your games after they are finished and take screenshots of certain parts or record it and save it to Bungie.net and allow everyone to watch it via the computer interwebs.

Speaking of Bungie.net, you can access my stats from my profile page there

Game on!
